We are happy to make direct billing to your insurance, including Extended Medical Plan, ICBC and WorkSafeBC to eliminate or minimize out of pocket expenses for our clients. For MSP, no direct billing, however our clinic will help you to claim MSP supplementary benefits as reimbursement.
ICBC — Book your treatments as soon as possible
- Since May 2021, ICBC Enhanced Care covers everyone for 12 weeks after their crash no matter who was responsible. That means you don’t have to wait to start your pre-approved treatments. All you need is your ICBC claim number, which is created when you submit your claim. Then our clinic can directly bill ICBC and No additional cost will be billed to the patients. In this first 12 weeks, you have pre-approved coverage for a variety of treatments to help you recover which includes 12 approved acupuncture treatments. That time can go by quickly, so it’s important to book your appointments right away to get the most out of your benefits.
- If you were a cyclist or pedestrian injured in a crash with a vehicle, you’re eligible to receive the same full range of care and recovery benefits as drivers in most cases. After the first 12 weeks, you’ll need to be able to demonstrate that any further treatments are necessary for your successful recovery, or will address a decline in your recovery. Prioritize care that helps you return to your previous abilities sooner.
- Mostly, for the cases after car accident, you will receive Acupuncture, or the combination with Cupping or Acupressure. If you got PTSD or Sleep issues as well, or Constipation, some Traditional Chinese Medicine (Herbal Tea) may be prescribed which may be extra cost beside of the treatment covered by ICBC.
